The Board of Directors of Queanbeyan Golf Club wish to advise that effective Monday 23 August 2021 a levy of $5 will apply to each 9 or 18 hole member social round of golf and competition fees will increase to $20 for the duration of the current lockdown.
Why is it necessary to charge a levy ?
The club has been closed by the NSW Government. This means there is no revenue being generated including substantial gaming revenue. Staff have been stood down and the club is making every effort to ensure our valued staff are able to return to QGC once this lockdown is over. Our course staff are still out on the fairways ensuring the course is maintained for your enjoyment.
The club took the stance to only allow members and invited guests access during lockdown with limited tee times available. This means the club does not have access to the significant green fee revenue that it would normally generate.
By all members playing their small part during this difficult period will allow the club to bounce back quickly when things return to some form of normality.
As always your understanding and support is greatly appreciated.
